About Me
I’m Mark, in my mid twenties and hoping to secure the backing of the OMRLP to stand in the 2011 Welsh Assembly elections.
I would bring to this role much of my experience of politics in this region. In the years 2004/5 I was the Non-Sabbatical Officer for Welsh Affair at the University of Glamorgan Student Union, narrowly beating Re-Open Nominations in a closely fought STV election. In my teens I was the youngest branch chair in the Pontypridd Labour Party and assisted with the destruction of the Treforest branch. I have also acted as the Technology officer for the Pontypridd Constituency Labour Party until 2006 where I oversaw their Web 2.0 Strategy with such success that to this day they do not have a single web page. I have also been recently involved in a community arts project in this region GBL, where as Managing Director I have been unable to manage the Directors and have had limited success in directing the management.
